Accessibility & Inclusion

Giles House Psychology

Therapy is adapted to support you – rather than expecting you to change yourself to fit

Neurodiversity-Affirming | LGBTQIA+ Inclusive | Disability-Aware

Many people who come to Giles House Psychology have experienced misunderstanding, exclusion, or pressure to change themselves in order to belong.

We recognise that wellbeing is shaped not only by individual factors, but also by social, cultural, and environmental contexts. Therapy focuses on restoring safety, strengthening self-understanding, and supporting you to build a life and environment where you can belong without having to erase who you are.

At Giles House Psychology, we are committed to respectful, needs-based, neuroaffirming care that honours each person’s unique way of thinking, feeling, sensing, and experiencing the world.

  • Providing flexible communication options

  • No expectation to mask, perform, or push through distress

  • Supporting autonomy, consent, strengths, and self-advocacy

Safety, respect & acceptance are central to our work

LGBTQIA+ Affirming, Kink-, Poly-Aware & Sex-Worker Safe Practice

Giles House Psychology affirms diverse sexualities, genders, relationship structures, and ways of living. We welcome people who identify as LGBTQIA+, sex-workers, and people in kink, polyamorous, consensual non-monogamous, or otherwise non-traditional relationship structures.

Therapy is a space where you can talk openly about your identity, relationships, work, and experiences without judgment, assumptions, or pressure to explain or justify yourself.

We honour the intersection of identity, neurodivergence, health, culture, and life experience, and support you to build self-understanding, self-trust, and a life that feels authentic and sustainable.

Inclusion at Giles House Psychology is not an add-on – it is a foundation.

Therapy is a collaborative space where difference is respected, your experiences are honoured, and change happens at your pace.

You are welcome here.

A space

where you can

be yourself

You don’t need a diagnosis, a referral, or a clear reason to begin

Many people simply know that something in their life feels difficult, heavy, or unsustainable & want support to understand why.

Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, strengthen your internal resources, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful, manageable, and your own.
